EF-i goes in at the mains inlet and treats every drop of domestic water in the building: cold, hot, and every outlet fed from it.

The network it treats
An open network: water passes through once and leaves.
Domestic water comes in from the street, crosses the device and spreads out. That is why one EF-i is enough: everything downstream is treated, including whatever you have not installed yet.
Open network: every litre crosses the device once, before it reaches any outlet.
One single device
No need for one per bathroom or one per appliance.

The treatment travels with the water into the cylinder.

Calcium and magnesium are still in the glass.
Limescale, up close
It changes how limescale crystallises, not what the water carries.
Calcium carbonate can either anchor itself to surfaces or travel loose in the water. EF-i tips the balance towards the second, without removing or adding anything.

It is fitted into the straight run of the incoming main, before the first branch. From there it treats the entire flow, with no power supply and no compulsory bypass.
