DS-i is fitted on the flow of a closed heating or cooling circuit and works on the same water, lap after lap.

The device that treats it
The closed circuit: the same water, for years.
In heating and cooling, the water is barely renewed at all. Everything that comes off the pipework, the circuit components and the seals stays inside the system and ends up settling in the emitters and in the heat exchangers.
Closed circuit: the water goes round. Every lap passes through the device before returning to the boiler.
No scheduled flushing
Nothing to drain or clean out each season.
No chemicals
Nothing is added to the circuit water.

It works the same on chilled and process water.
Sludge, up close
It does not come from outside: it is the circuit shedding itself.
The black sludge in a heating system is manufactured inside it, and every layer that settles is paid for in temperature and in consumption.

Black iron oxide
It forms as the steel in radiators and pipework corrodes. It is the bulk of the sludge and the part that clings hardest to the heat exchanger.

They come from the circuit itself and speed up steel corrosion wherever they settle.

A one millimetre layer on the heat exchanger is enough to make the boiler work harder for the same output temperature.

DS-i does not trap sludge in a canister: it returns it to circulation as fine particles and slows the corrosion that feeds it.

The device, on the flow run
It is fitted on the flow, on the run after the pump. Every litre in the circuit passes through it, at the point where velocity is highest, so one device covers the whole installation.
The device and what it protects
Circuit water passes through the device on every lap, so the treatment reaches every emitter without fitting anything to them.

Fitting it
It goes on the flow and is never touched again.
No dosing, no canister to open and no seasonal service visit.
Isolate the flow run
The existing valves are enough in most installations. There is no need to drain the whole circuit.
Fit the device the right way round
The arrow engraved on the body shows the direction of flow towards the boiler.
Refill and start up
No inhibitor, no scheduled flushing and nothing to check in the years that follow.

Against the alternatives
